IISRP sets programme for 51st AGM in Dubai

The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers, Inc. (IISRP) announced the speakers’ programme for its 51st Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Dubai, UAE, 14 – 15 April 2010, according to James L. McGraw, IISRP Managing Director and CEO.

“Tradition, Innovation, Forward Vision” will be the theme of the Institute’s first meeting in the Mideast. The European Union delegate to the Gulf Cooperation Council will deliver the keynote address where they will present current and future EU business opportunities with the GCC.

“Under the leadership of our International president Bruno Pary of ExxonMobil we have assembled an outstanding Speakers Program,” said James L. McGraw. “In addition we have high level speakers focusing on economic and industrial development in the Mideast”, noted McGraw.

The programme includes Matthew Thoelke and Tony Potter, both of CMAI, who will speak on feedstocks and the Gulf petrochemical outlook respectively. Laith Al Shebel and Saleh Al-Agili of NICDR will speak on the industrial development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Don Weinstritt of Dow chemical will speak on Dow’s sustainability along the supply chain; Tetsunori Haraguchi of Toyota will review advanced vehicle designs and Pascal Couasnon of Michelin will present innovations and Michelin technology for improving the balance of performance. Rob Simmons of LMC will provide an overview of the impact of the US trade tariffs on the global tyre trade. The programme will also include a panel discussion on the economic perspective in the Gulf Region.
