Elastomer Bulletin: A Promising Future for the Chinese EPDM Market

The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP) and the China National Chemical Information Center (CNCIC) have jointly developed and published the first report of the new series of publications Elastomer Bulletin, titled A Promising Future for the Chinese EPDM Market.

The nine-page report focuses the emerging Chinese ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM) market, with background information about global EPDM producers and capacities. The report also contains the IISRP’s supplemented forecast data of supply and demand for the global and Asian market.

The Chinese EPDM market information includes supply/demand, market segmentation and import/export data. According to the report, by the end of 2010, China’s production capacity of EPDM will reach at least 50,000 t/a. However, more than 100,000 t/a of the supply shortage gap after 2010 is still expected, providing a promising business opportunity for the Chinese market.
