SPE offers free selection of technical briefs online
“SPE PRO”, a new free online service from the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), provides a regularly updated selection of professionally edited briefs in key sectors of plastics technology and polymer science, enabling site visitors to keep abreast of the latest developments.
SPE PRO (for Plastics Research Online) will eventually include more than 80 briefs at time, with new additions made weekly and available via email, RSS feed, or Twitter. Older briefs will be archived in SPE’s Online Technical Library and made accessible only to SPE members.
The initial list of categories in which briefs will be available includes Applied Rheology, Bioplastics, Engineering Properties, Extrusion, Failure Analysis, Injection Moulding, and Plastics Nanotechnology. SPE expects to have at least a dozen briefs at a time posted in each of these categories, and may add categories in the future.
The briefs currently online can be viewed at www.4spepro.org or accessed via a Plastics Research Online link in the Technical Resources section on the SPE website homepage. The technical articles can be browsed by title or subject.
SPE is partnering with Wiley InterScience on this new service.
